[sonar-dev] Integrate Action Plan with CA SCM

Hi,

I want to create a new plug in that will get the list of action plans from external system (CA SCM). Do sonar support this option? And if yes, how?

Hi Assaf,

No it's not possible to customize action plans except from console. I don't know CA SCM, but how would you extract plans ? From branches ?

SCM contains tasks so we I want to associate the review with them so the developer will know what he/she should fix.

Well...

Not sure this is quite what you're asking for - you want to push from your SCM into Sonar.

But... 3.1 added an extension point to reviews to allow you to push from Sonar into an external system, such as Jira. So you can create a review in Sonar and at the same time push that action item into CA (presumably via Web Service.)

Assuming your 'push' into CA returns the CA ticket id, you'll be able to store that in your Sonar review in the "data" block.

The Jira plugin demonstrates this functionality.

As I understand JIRA Plug-in documentation (http://docs.codehaus.org/display/SONAR/JIRA+Plugin), you can create a new JIRA ticket according to review at sonar.

What I want is similar to link review to an existing JIRA ticket (CA SCM task).

Anyway, more information about how this part of JIRA plug-in works will be useful.
