Thank you for your quick reaction. I am aware that I can choose previous analysis. And in the violations widget it works fine for me:
So I can see the 3 added Major Violations (over 5 days). Also in the History Table widget I can see the added number of major violations, since a previous analysis (over 5 days) . But the NEW Major violations metric states none !?.

New ... violations: violations added since a specific previous analysis.
This previous analysis can be selected through the Time changes... list box:
